SECOND GENERATION

2. WILLIAM G. EMME was born on 18 Aug 1830 in HANNOVER GERM. He died on 13 Sep 1901 in FAYETTE CO. PA.. He was buried in MILLER CEM HAYDENTOWN PA. He was married to LAVINA DERRY in 1854.

3. LAVINA DERRY was born on 2 Sep 1835 in VA. She died on 14 Nov 1927 in FAYETTE CO PA. She was buried in MILLER CEM HAYDENTOWN PA.

THIRD GENERATION

4. JOHANN ANDREAS [ANDREW] EMME was born on 13 Nov 1798 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM. He died on 19 Sep 1881 in FAYETTE CO PA.. 

Note: JOHANN ANDREAS (ANDREW) FOUGHT IN THE GERMAN ARMY. HE ENLISTED AT THE AGE OF 15 1N 1812 AND FOUGHT WITH WELLINGTON AGAINST NAPOLEAN IN THE EARLY WARS. HE THEN BECAME A STEAMBOAT CAPT NEAR HANNOVER GERMANY. HE MIGRATED TO THE US IN 1835. HIS WIFE DIED ON THE SHIP ON THE WAY TO AMERICA HE WAS NATUALIZED IN BEAVER CO PA 23 SEP 1840.

8. CHRISTOPH LUDWIG (TWIN) EMME was born on 8 Aug 1772 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM. He was married to MARIA ELISABETH DORTHEA VON SCHWANENFLUGEL on 1 Feb 1795.

9. MARIA ELISABETH DORTHEA VON SCHWANENFLUGEL was born on 8 Nov 1769 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM. She died on 28 Jan 1815 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM.. 

CHRISTOPH LUDWIG (TWIN) EMME and MARIA ELISABETH DORTHEA VON SCHWANENFLUGEL had the following children:

18. JOHANN H. VON SCHWANNENFLUGEL was born in 1720 in DUDERSTADT GERM. He died on 4 Apr 1779 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM. JOHANN WAS A CAPT IN THE GERMAN ARMY AT VAUNSCHWAG GERMANY. DUE TO HIS FAMILY BEING IN THE ARISTOCRACY IN THIS SECTION OF GERMANY THEY WERE ENTITLED TO USE VON PRECEDING THEIR SURNAME

19. CATHERINE E. ZAHRMANN was born in 1740. She died on 9 Mar 1806.

i. PHILLIPINE MARGARETHE JUSTINA SCHWANNENFLUGEL was born on 2 Jan 1761. She died in INFANT DEATH.

24. BALTZER "Balthazar" DERRY was born in 1740 in GERM. He died in 1804. Most of the information that I have comes from about the early Derry's in Fayette Co Pa. comes from Thomas G Clark thru his mother from his Grandmother Barbra Derry Gates d.1882 the daughter of Bazil Derry.Barbara was the sister of my ancester Lavina Derry Emme.Mr Clark stated he was told that the Derry, located around 1810 - 1820 near what is now Phillipi WVA.He found an old deed in Monongalia Co WVA (VA) Book A pge 203 dated Apr 30 1796 from Wm McCleary and Isabella his wife to Balser Derry of Loudin Co Va fro 400 Acres in Harrison Co Va on a branch of Simpsons Creek.In Loudin Co Va he found the following in Deed Book Q page 31 dated Jun 11 1798 a lease agreement between George William Fairfax by George Nicholas, his attorney in fact and Pauser Derry whereby 120 acres in the parish of Shelbourn Loudin Co a part of 296 acres called Piedmont.The most valueable copy that he found was Baltser Derry's will written  Aug 24 1808 and proved Oct 10 1808 and probated Feb 13 1809.He wills Barbra his beloved wife the home plantation for the remainder of her natural life.Most of the personal property to Philip and to Adam Murcle,Benjamine Watkins,Jacob Derry,and Philip Derry each 100 acres of the 400 acres in Harrison Co Va (now Barbour County WVA) It is my belief that Adam Murcle and Benjamine Watkins are sons -in-law of old Balser.

Now I have found a Jacob Derry in the 1786 and 1787 tax records of Fayette Co Pa.  I believe this is the Same Jacob Derry from above and that him being in this area not far from where the land purchase in 1789 he acted as an agent for his father in the purchase of this land.The occupation of the Derry's I am told were in Ironworking and it is only logical that after the death of Balser and the settlement of his will in 1809 that sometime after that they came west to Harrison Co Va.In the 1810 Va Census Philip and Jacob are still in Loudin Co,but in 1820 census Loudin Co.Va Philip Derry and Barbra Derry are living in seperate households while Jacob cant be found.In the 1830 census Fayette Co Pa there is a Basil Derry,Jacob Derry,Mary Derry,Barbra Derry,Mary Derry,Phebe Derry,and Philip Derry.It is my belief that Jacob Derry is the father of Basil Derry according to my family oral history and that thru his daughter Lavina Derry Emme this is my line.More research is needed to make a more positive connection.

According to information from a descendant of a Peter Derry who was a peer of Baltzer she states that Peter and Baltzer Derry attended the same church and that both lived in the Frederick Co Md/Loudin Co Va.area and both had sons named Jacob,and they both died within 5-6 years of each other,that they were probably brothers and the sons of a Jacob Derry.

Balt's and Barbara's marriage can be found in Volume 2 of Maryland Records by Brumbaugh,Gaius Marcus.It comes from the First Reformed Church of Frederick Co. Md.  He was married to Barbara HEINKLY on 27 Mar 1758 in Middletown Church Frederick Co Md.

• i. Catharina DERRY was born in 1758. According to Rev War Pension of her husband Catherine was about 63 years old in 1820.

• ii. PHILLIP B. DERRY was born in 1774 in Loudon County, Va. He died in Sep 1826 in Loudon County, Va.

• 12 iii. JACOB DERRY.

• iv. Michael DERRY was born in 1768. He was baptized on 4 Jun 1768 in Middletown Church Frederick Co Md.

• v. Maria "Mary" Sara DERRY was born on 8 Jul 1770 in Frederick Co Md.

• vi. Anna Mararetha DERRY was baptized in 1771 in Middletown Church Frederick Co Md. She was born in 1771.

SIXTH GENERATION

32. HANS JURGEN EMME was born in 1695 in GERM. He died on 7 Sep 1768 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM.

33. ANNA MARGARETHE KLUTHE was born on 10 Aug 1703 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM. She died on 4 Nov 1775 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM. 

HANS JURGEN EMME and ANNA MARGARETHE KLUTHE had the following children:

• i. ANNA MAGDALENA EMME was born on 28 Oct 1729 in GROOENSCHEEN GERM.

• ii. DORTHEA ROSINE EMME was born on 6 Jan 1731 in GROSSENSCHEEN GERM.

67. FRAU UNK was born in 1656. She died on 9 Jul 1737 in GROSSENSCHNEEN GERM.
