be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
He was born Feb. 17, 1923, to the late Christie and Madonna Davis. A 1939 graduate of Pt. Marion

he
worked for Franklin Baking Co. for 40 years. His family and friends celebrate his work ethic, family

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Lemmons.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances Davis; one son, Curtis Davis and wife,
Brenda, of Cincinnati, Ohio; son-in-law, Roger Lemmons of Winston-Salem; sister, Elaine Gilmore and
husband, Claude, of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Lisa Savaglio, Laura Williams, Parker Davis and
Lyndsay Davis; great-granddaughter, Audrey Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition, he is survived by Frances Davis' large extended family in the eastern North Carolina
area too many to name each, that have been supportive of Christie during his illness and treated him
like their father.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service Saturday evening at Shumate-Faulk
Funeral Home.
