MILLER, ANNIE CYNTHIA –
aged 79, of R. D. 1 Smithfield (Haydentown) died Monday May 28, 1951, at 6 a.m. following an extended
illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Miller, December 21, 1929. Survivors are three
daughters, Mrs. Daisy Myers of Fairchance; Miss Dora Miller at home; Mrs. Blanche Myers of White
House; five sons, Russell, Arthur, Walter and Wilbur of Haydentown; Henry of Fairchance; three
stepdaughters, Mrs. Effie Wilson and Mrs. Airy Wilson of Fairchance; Mrs. Cora Byerly of
Monongahela; three step-sons, Weldie [sic], Amadee [sic], and Fred Miller of Fairchance; four
sisters, Mrs. Ida Braddee of Uniontown; Mrs. Rosetta Mickey of New Kensington; Mrs. Rebecca Swaney of
R.D. 1 Smithfield; Mrs. Sude Swaney of Fairchance; two brothers, Jarrett B. Swaney of Martin; Alec
Swaney of Shady Side; 30 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Brethren
church of Fairchance. Friends will be received in the Sharp & Wagner Funeral Home, Fairchance, after
7 o'clock this evening where services will be conducted Thursday, May 31, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Harry
Humbert officiating. Interment will be in the Swaney cemetery, Haydentown.
