Specific names and dates not cited here given by Samuel's great grand-son.
Information regarding Sarah Davis, sister to William Davis, being married to Samuel Wishart is only a
guess at this point, and will depend on corroborating evidence. One Wishart researcher suggests that
Samuel Wishart and his wife Sarah were married in Bedford County, PA in 1851. No record has been
found to date that places Samuel Wishart in Bedford County on or around 1851, nor is there an
reliable record that Samuel and Sarah were married in 1851 in Bedford County, PA.

They Lived For Eighty Years Or More
A Series of Pictures and Sketches of Warren and Trumbull County People Who Hove Lived That Long.
Trumbull County has gotten many of her good and substantial citizens from the stat just across
the line, in fact, there are hundreds of people from Pennsylvania, who have migrated to Ohio
and have helped to make this state what she is.
The subject of today's sketch, Sam'l Wishart, was born November 22, 1821, in the Hartslog
Valley, Huntingdon County, Pa. He is the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. David Wishart. At an
early age Samuel's parents removed to Yellow Creek, Pa. [note: Yellow Creek is in Hopewell
TWP, Bedford County, PA]
In 1851 Mr. Wishart was married and they lived for many years near Sharon, Pa. In 1893 they
came to Ohio, taking up their residence at Weldon. In 1901 they bought a farm a mile and a
half west of Orangeville, where Mr. Wishart still lives.
Six children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Wishart. They are William, of Sharpsville; Mrs. A. L.
Neff of Brockway; J. W. Wishart of Orangeville, and Warren, who resides at home. Two other sons,
Albert and Alexander, are dead.
Mr. Wishart has been a hard worker all his life and at present is in the best of health and
expects for many years to come to do his own plowing, planting and harvesting as he has in the
years past.
He has traveled extensively and talks very interestingly of his many trips. He says he is very
much interested in these sketches and complimented The Tribune for running them.
