George Walter Hardman was the son of Hans Roland Hardman and Caroline (Carrie) Frances Bumbaugh. 
George was born 15 June 1871 in Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia; and died 19 September
1949 in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  On 14 August 1894 (probably in Allegheny
County, Pennsylvania), he married Ida Mae Clarke, the daughter of Joseph C. Clarke and Mary Ann Rice.
 Ida Mae Clarke was born 11 October 1876 in Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia; and died 13
May 1957 in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  Both George and Ida Mae are buried in
the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.  They had eight
children:
 
1.)  Willard Melville Hardman, born 20 February 1897 in East McKeesport, Allegheny County,
Pennsylvania; died 23 October 1982 in North Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida.  He was married twice: 
first to Laura Virginia (surname unknown); and second to Evelyn Mae Marlin, the daughter of Clyde
Primrose Marlin and Anna May Cook.  Evelyn was born 8 October 1913 in Wall, Allegheny County,
Pennsylvania; and died 14 January 2003 in Fairfax, Alexandria County, Virginia.  The second marriage
took place on 12 August 1937 in Wall, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  Willard and Evelyn had one
son:  Willard Melville Hardman, Jr.
 
2.)  Ernest Walter Hardman, born 29 April 1901 in Portsmouth, Scioto County, Ohio; died 20 March 1980
in North Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  He is buried in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial
Cemetery in Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.  On 25 September 1926 (place unknown) he
married Sara E. Butler.  I have no further information on her.
 
3.)  Mildred Harriett Hardman, born 4 April 1903 in Canton, Stark County, Ohio; died 28 January 1961
in McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  She is also buried in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial
Cemetery, in Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.  She was married to Eschol Barkman.
 
4.)  Martha Hermeina Hardman, born 17 August 1905 in Canton, Stark County, Ohio; died 19 January 1998
in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  She first married LaVerne McFeely; and second
Fritz McNeill.
 
5.)  Carrie Annetta G. Hardman, born 5 June 1907 in Alliance, Stark County, Ohio; died 2 September
1984 in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  She is buried in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial
Cemetery in Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.  On 11 February 1927 in McKeesport, Allegheny
County, Pennsylvania, she married Harry Hansen.
 
6.)  Charles Herbert Hardman, born 8 July 1909 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; died 3
April 1959 in North Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  He is buried in the Restland
Cemetery in Wilmerding, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  He was married to Velia Elizabeth Zenone.
 
7.)  Ida Bertha Hardman, born 10 November 1911 in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania;
died 1913 in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  She is buried in Grandview Cemetery
(unknown town), Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
 
8.)  Grayce Dorothy Hardman, born 2 March 1914 in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania;
died 4 March 1995 in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.  She was married three times: 
first to (Unknown) Berger; second to (Unknown) Forsythe; and third to (Unknown) Barkman.
