    Ronald L. Moats

    Ronald L. (Ron) Moats, 48, of Haydentown, Pa., died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at home. He was born
Sept. 19, 1951, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Herman F. Moats and Kathryn Mack Moats.

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Joseph Moats.

    Surviving are four brothers, Sid Moats of Uniontown, Pa., Walden Moats and his wife, Kathleen of
Haydentown, Pa., and Jessie Moats and his wife Anita and Kevin Dwayne Moats, both of Smithfield, Pa.;
the following nieces, Patty Coddington of Grindstone, Pa., Darla Mathianas of Chrisfield, Md., and
Kathryn and Walinda Moats, both of Smithfield, Pa.; nephews, Sid Moats Jr. and Chris, both of
Perryopolis, Pa., William Dwayne Moats, Herman Frank Moats Jr., and Herman Joseph Moats, all of
Smithfield, Pa.; and several grand-nieces and nephews.

    Ron was retired from Sterling Faucet, after 28 years of service as an assemblyman. He also worked
as a security guard for Pechin Supermarkets.

    The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street,
Fairchance, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, Sept.
1, 2000 until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating.

    Interment will follow in Moats Cemetery, Haydentown, Pa.
