Research Notes -- David G Brewer
From Shelley Moats Davis:

My Father (Herbert James Moats) is Dawson and Lila youngest son.
Marie is his sister. When Lila passed with diabetes,
my daddy was 12 years old, live with Dawson then with Marie.
He left Pennsylvania at 15 or 16 years old. He lied about his age
going in to the Merchant Marine then the Army Air Core.
He came to Reese Air force base ( had some other name at that time) in
Lubbock, Texas. He became a fireman at Reese Air force base until he
retired. I have been not very close to his family. Marie was the only
one who kept in contact with me. My daddy told me Marie's father died.
I remember them being sad that Fred died but do not know why.
I do not know who Ruth was. My Father's Death Date was May 28, 2000.
Marie was born in Fayette County, Death Date was August 28, 2000.
