Hi to all you Brewers'. I just happened onto this site. I like it.
I'm a Tennesse Brewer. GG Grandfather was Asa Brewer, G Grandfather was Levi Daniel Brewer, Grandfather was Dockery Gillespie Brewer, and my Father was Harvey Hannah Brewer.
We originated in England, came to Virginia in the 1600's, migrated to North Carolina and ended up in Blount County Tennessee
sometime in the early 1800's.
Let me hear from you all.

Thought my great, great grandmother was a Brower. Now I find out that she's a Brewer. The confusing part is, I don't know now if I descend from the Brouwer/Brower family or the Brewer family, since some of the family members changed the name to Brewer. Lots of researching to do. Her name was Margaret K. Brewer and her father was Benjamin Brewer, originally from New York and migrated to Monmouth County, New Jersey. Nothing available for New Jersey researchers as far as State documentation, until 1848. A new beginning, I guess.....
