I would like to know how and when my Brewer family came from the east. Daniel Clark Brewer was born in Texas 1859, (his father) James Augustus Brewer was born in GA 1833, (his father) John Clark Brewer was born in Morgan Co., GA 1807, (his father) Duruy (spelling may be different) was about 1757-1767. the 1790 Census for Moore Co., NC has a Duruy (over 16), 1820 Moore Co., NC has a Drury as over 16, 1820 Morgan Co., GA has Drury as 45+, 1840 Morgan Co., GA has Drury as 70-80, so I do not know which might be my ancestor. There is also a will of Drury Brewer on record at Morgan Co. GA. If any one can help me link with Drury's siblings and parents I would be grateful. And why did they leave GA?
