Update 2003: Spoke with Merritt on the phone and it appears that this Enoch Brewer
lived in Kentucky all his life.

Nelly Jane and Lucinda Cantrill, over 14, by written request selected Hugh R. Reynolds as their
guardian.
7 Jan 1856 -
This day Saunders Brewer came into Wayne County and made application to the court for letters of
Administation debonis non (an additional administration of an estate of a deceased person granted
when all the goods had not been distributed by a former administrator or executor) to issue to him
upon the estate of Enoch Brewer deceased...and leaving no last will and testament, the application
was granted accordingly...the said Saunders Brewer to enter into and upon all and singular the goods
and chattles rights and credits of the estate of the said Enoch Brewer deceased wheresoever to be
found in the state of Tennessee and the same to take into your possession that you make and return
upon oath to our next succeeding... 7 Jan 1856.

This following entries were copied from the Execution Docket, Wayne Co. (TN) Court. (This
book was in the basement of the Wayne Co. courthouse about 1982. As far as I know, it has
never been microfilmed or copied.)
The folling is the division of the land in the estate of Enoch Brewer, dec'd. He died ca. 1855.
Rec'd of William Jones C & M, Four hundred and twenty-three dollars and 75 cents being the
respective interests if Sarah Angeline Reynolds & Wesley B. Reynolds, James R. Haddock and
wife, Mary Emaline, John W. Brewer, George M. brewer and Henry J. (This is probably supposed
to be Henry P.) Brewer in the presence of this sale, Aug 27th 1857.
