I am brother to Esther Winters. Even though we are both way out here in the west, we thrive on genealogy and the family of which we are very proud. I think my ancestor Phillip John Miller 1801 was the eldest child of David and Catherine Kast, and was "Kast" out of David's will for whatever reason. Four children came from Getzendanner and they took care of two of her children also, by Ambrose. Wish I could prove all this!!! I did see a document when back east last year showing David Miller as the other husband of Catherine Getzendanner. Your site is great and I will keep in touch. Jess Wilson

I am trying to find my Miller family line. Elizabeth Miller from around Rushville or Jacksonville, Il. married Bird McMeins around 1890. She had two siblings that I know of - Ellen and George. It's not much to go on, but if anyone knows of these folks please contact me.

I have done research on the Tremor family. Several members came from Ziegenruck, Prussia (East Germany) I have visited there twice. a lovely little village on the Saale River. The name in Germany was spelled TRIEMER. pronounced TREE-MER. THE SAME AS WE SAY TREMOR. My gggrandfather Johann Ehrenfried Triemer came here 1843 with wife Christiana Josephina Schmidt and 3 children. He lived for sometime in Wales, NY as a shoemaker. Then moved to Indiana where they both were active in the church at Lynnville. I descended from his son Johann Gottfried (John Godfrey) Then Robert Lewis Tremor, then Charles B. Tremor then me. Some Tremors were in PA, i know John E. was made a citizen in PA. I hope this is a help to someone.

(Johann) Frederick Fichter (1750-1840) born in Germany, died in NJ. I'm not related in any way, but I'm beginning to feel as if I am! I've been trying to help a lady complete her application papers for DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). She used the paperwork of two other ladies who were approved for membership but now she is being told that there was not enough documentation for her patriot. If anyone in this group has any knowledge about Frederick or any thoughts on how to find more about him, I'd appreciate hearing from you. I do know several pieces of information about him, including that he was a Forge Foreman at the Mt. Hope, NJ, mine during the Revolutionary War but I can't PROVE it! His second wife was Mary Witte and they were married at the home of John Jacob Faesch. Thanks for any help you might give us.
