My g. grandmother was Amada Hosper. In the census 0f 1860 for Hampshire Co. Virginia she and her son Andrew were shown living with Samuel Brewer. It is possible Samuel is a relative, she could have been divorced or widowed. Samuel was 57 at the time and she was 35 and her son 8 yrs. She was born in Pa., but Andrew was born in Cumberland Maryland as was Samuel. Others in the census were::
Samuel age (12) born in Md
Nancy Brewer age (11) born in Md
Lewis Brewer age (12) born in Md
John Brewer age (8) born in Md.
Henry Lamb age (16) born in Md
Samuel Lamb age(12) born in Md
James Leese age (17) born in Md
The other children could be relatives, Iwould assume that the Brewer children listed are her siblings.
I would appreciate any help , have run into a brick wall especially on the Hosper side. I was a Hosper before I married.

I believe our family can trace back to John Brewer from the Isle of Wight as well, not absolutely certain though. My grandfather was Willie Brewer. I believe he was born in Lewisburg, TN before 1900.

My Great Grandpa name was Issac Brewer he died in 1912. My Grandfather name was Horace Victor Brewer He had three brothers. The lived in Anderson, IN. After Great grandfather died, My grandfather was taken by a "childless" Uncle and aunt to live in TN. The uncle was believed to be his fathers brother. He eventually returned to Anderson around age 14. He had a brother named Lawrence Brewer Sr. and Robert Larkin Brewer. If anyone has information or can help. Please do, Thank You

My 4th great grandfather, Enoch Brewer, was the grandson of Jones and Sarah (Norwood) Brewer. Enoch's father was William Brewer, married to Joyce Powell. Enoch's son, Robert, was married to Eugenia Conner, and their daughter, my 2nd great grandmother is Ellen Brewer married to Walter Piper.
